We had a very spectacular day at the city hall of San Francisco. Robert Valdes put the icing on the cake with the wonderful pictures he took. He was on time and very courteous. Robert always made the effort to make us comfortable and relaxed. He knew exactly what we wanted and how to situate us in the pictures. He took advantage of all the scenery that was provided to us at city hall and there was tons.. He didn't let any missed opportunities get by. We were referred to Robert by our event planner. From our initial contact all the way through the weeks after the wedding day our interaction with Robert was smooth, professional, and a complete joy. During the engagement photo session Robert embraced all of our ideas for location, setting, mood and guided us through in a way we would realize the best finished pictures. On the day of the wedding Robert was prepared and knew all of the special locations at the venue to get the best shots quickly so we could get back to our wedding. You can not be everywhere on your wedding day, so the photographs will let you see everything that you missed. It was all beautifully captured by Robert and we are able to relive the day.

Overall we had a 5 star experience with Robert - he was always prompt, very easy to deal with, delivered the photos much faster than expected, and his work was top notch. We've received many compliments already. Also, his fee was very competitive considering the quality received. We would hire him again without reservation!

One of the most important things in wedding planning was finding an incredible photographer and videographer that would allow me to relive the day over and over through pictures and video. Robert was able to deliver that! I absolutely love our pictures and videos and can watch them over and over (shedding tears every time)! I interviewed over 10 photographers and Robert was the first one and I continued to compare others to his work and his pricing. Robert was accommodating in all of our requests and put our wants and requests above all. My day of coordinator loved working with him due to his experience. I can't express how happy we are we chose Robert and his team to capture our special day!

Robert was an amazing photographer. He was extremely professional and accommodating to my requests. I received the pictures and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I cannot believe that for almost half the cost of other photographers I got some of the best wedding photos I have seen and I will cherish for years to come. He captured every memorable moment in a way that you can really feel the emotion and love that was all around us on our wedding day! He is amazing! I would 100% recommend his services to anyone!

First of all - the level of professionalism was beyond that of any other "wedding vendor" - and we had some of the best in Napa. Robert was kind, considerate and took all of my ideas into consideration to ensure I had our memories captured my way and then added his brilliant and artist twist and made everything even better! He was beyond thorough and from what we've seen - there isn't a photographer that can top him! I can't wait to see the rest of our pictures because I know I'll be blown away. He is a perfectionist and truly passionate about his work. When we got back to Napa for an anniversary, I definitely want to reconnect and do pictures with him again! I worked with Robert both as a vendor and then as a photographer for my own wedding. I am a wedding coordinator and Robert and I worked a wedding or 2 together professionally. I then used him with my wedding and was very happy with the outcome. Easy to work with and fantastic work. You can not go wrong. When we worked together, they were also doing video. The videographer did a great job and was very out of the way, which I like! Can not go wrong with Robert and his services.

We were married on the waterfront in Sausalito, California. I had the privilege of hiring Robert Valdes for my photography and videography needs to capture all of the cherished moments from my wedding, the most memorable day of my life. My husband and I met with Robert Valdes about seven months prior to the event and hired him at our initial meeting after talking with him and seeing examples of his amazing photography. His work is impressive and truly reflects in his personality and professionalism. Robert Valdes is an amazing photographer, a photographer who has true natural talent. He is very professional, punctual and brought his creative eye, talent and enthusiasm to our wedding day. He was very calm and confident throughout my event and captured almost 1500 breathtaking photographs. I never dreamed my wedding pictures or my wedding video would have been as beautiful and impressive as they are. We had Robert for our wedding and he did an amazing job. The photos were fantastic. We just saw our album preview and it looks great! We can't wait to get the album. Robert is easy to deal with and blended in with our small, intimate wedding. He was not overbearing but got some great shots. Robert's photos were breathtaking. We got married at the Auberge Du Soleil in Rutherford and his images showed the beauty of this wonderful venue. I really loved the black and white photos and although I wasn't expecting any, I was happy to have had it.

We got a great service from Monterey Photography. We hired him for our photography and he was the one doing it. He took our great photos and we are very happy for him. I am going to recommend him to anyone who is getting married and wants a great photo. Our only complaint which is not really his fault is that we spend to much on photography. We don't know that it cost so much so we have to spent more. We got two photographers and our pictures on a cd. He also gave us a copyright letter to show the person at the lab.

We used Robert for our engagement video, wedding and reception. He and his team did a phenomenal job on all fronts. He's very easy to work with, understands ones vision and allows you to suggest things to help implement that vision without you feeling as if you're stepping on the toes of your videographer/photographer. We were married in 2002 and have used Robert's services a few times since then and still have not been disappointed. And he's very reasonable. It's like when you finally find that favorite drink or candy bar, you always go back to it even if someone suggests you try a different one. Well, I'm suggesting if you choose Robert, you'll stick with him.

Let me first start off by saying that my husband is a photographer so when seeking one for our wedding, we wanted to find the perfect one! Robert is just that! Very personable, easy to work with, and really listened to what we wanted. He has a fantastic eye and the SF City Hall is not the easiest to shoot at with the different settings of light along with the tour groups while trying to get the perfect shot. We couldn't have ask for more perfect photos and we really had a great time! Thanks Robert for all you do! You are a true talent while keeping us within our tight budget. Robert was the photographer for our wedding in December 2007. He did a wonderful job and we are really happy with him. We used his videographer and that came out really nice too. We looked at about 5 photographers and the thing that struck me the most was Robert's well balanced style. He doesn't get too many of a certain shot. I saw some photographers that focused on details and not enough of the people. Robert is very creative and a pleasure to deal with. We always recommend him to family and friends.

Robert shot our wedding in July 2011. He was absolutely nice to work with. He tailored a package we both felt was fair and absolutely delivered. Phone calls and emails were always promptly returned. We realized we had a lot of needs when deciding on which photographers to choose for our wedding day, and Robert made sure he fulfill all of our request. Overall, we are happy with the images that were captured; they highly preserve our memories of that special day.

We were referred to Robert by a close family friend who used to do weddings with him. The whole process was amazing and so smooth. For a consultation he met us at a 1/2 way point so we didn't have to travel as far (He lives about an hour and a half from us) and just made us really understand how he portrays wedding stories. When we had our engagement photos, we had a wonderful time getting to know Robert and his style as a rehearsal for our big day. We took our engagement photos at the palace of fine arts. They turned out gorgeous. Robert came the day of the wedding completely prepared. He knew what and how he planned to capture the day. When we received the pictures, it was like we were reliving our entire wedding. His journalistic approach is truly one of a kind.

We had the pleasure of having Robert as our photographer for our wedding in Napa Valley at V. Sattui. I am a very type A personality, but Robert took me in stride and made all of my wedding picture needs/ wants/ wishes come to life. We've been married for two weeks, and I have already seen so many preview shots - so talk about a quick turn around! I know friends who have waited months for a preview. Anyway - I got exactly what I wanted. I had a few shots that I liked, and we had a few shots that had a sentimental meaning to me. Robert worked those in and made them more beautiful than I could have imagined and then he set to work on his art. He took some of the most amazing shots.
Communication leading up to the wedding: There was always an immediate response and he always took time to talk to me on the phone, read my emails and look at my suggestions. He made it so that I completely trusted him and had no questions.
Day of the wedding:
Pre-Ceremony - Robert came over the our home to capture shots of us getting ready, he was incredibly friendly and very well liked by all of my bridal party and my family. It was nice to have that time before the wedding because we got to know one another, and it made me more comfortable taking the photos throughout the day.
Ceremony - This is what is so great. There are so many AMAZING photos, but I had no idea he was there. One of the complaints I have heard from so many brides is that they felt like they were blinded and being attacked as they were performing the most sacred union of their lives. I literally had no idea that pictures were even being taken, but every moment of the ceremony was captured and from all locations!
Post Ceremony - We did all of the wedding party shots/ bride groom (we did not do a first look) and family shots.
Reception - Tons of great shots - everything was covered!
We were directed in a comfortable manner allowing for gorgeous pictures throughout the entire experience!

I could not have asked for a better photographer for my wedding and engagement pictures! My wedding and engagement pictures are everything I hoped for and more. Robert did an amazing job and I can't thank him enough. I am a picture lover and after interviewing 7 photographers for our wedding and looking over all of their pictures, I knew that I loved Robert's style. It was a bonus that he was reasonably priced, especially compared to what some photographers out there charge. He was so nice about customizing our package to give us exactly what we wanted. I knew I wanted an engagement session and eight hours of wedding pictures and that is exactly what Robert gave us. He was prompt on getting our pictures back to us. After we got back from our honeymoon Robert informed me that our pictures were on their way. I was so eager to get them! He took over 1,000 photos and almost all of them are unforgettable moments that I will treasure forever. Thanks again Robert for capturing the most important day of my life. :)
